Chiropractors use spinal manipulation and other non-invasive tools to adjust spinal alignment to help healing without surgery or medication. In general, our chiropractic care aims to:
Here are some of the tools and treatments we use:
Surface electromyography is a non-invasive examination tool that detects, records and interprets electric activity in groups of resting and active muscles. Electrodes are placed on the skin surface over the muscle that is being tested, and the electrodes read the electrical activity of the muscle. The
device, also known as an EMG, helps chiropractors determine whether muscles along the spine are over- or under-used.
Mechanical Intersegmental Traction
Intersegmental traction (IST) is a way of inducing passive motion into the spine, to stretch spinal joints and increase mobility. Traction is any applied mechanical force that is used to achieve motion. During the procedure, the patient lies face up on a special table equipped with rollers beneath its
surface. The rollers slowly travel the length of the patient’s spine.
Dry hydrotherapy systems are mechanized tables or chairs filled with heated water. Within the water envelope, water jets move across the patient’s neck, shoulders and upper and lower back. Dry hydrotherapy combines the benefits of massage, heat and whirlpool without getting the patient wet. The
treatment provides a hygienic and comfortable experience.
